A long lane walk today was much enjoyed, and our first bee ‘rescue’ of the year occurred.  We came across one on the road that would not survive a car passing so we thought it best to relocate to a nearby flower.

The evening walks have been a little sparse by way of wildlife recently, but today both a deer and a barn owl were spotted – although a photograph was not able to be taken of either which is rather annoying.

There a still a few snowdrops holding on alongside the abundance of primroses and daffodils.

A day of trying to ward off a migraine today so not a lot to report by way of observations.  I did notice that the blossom is starting to appear, it’s so pretty!

Another dry day, I’m actually not sure when we last had a flutter of rain.  Today was not quite as sunny and beautiful feeling as some recents, but a blessing regardless.

The moon was so big and bright tonight, one of those WOW moon moments.

Little Jenny Wren came back to visit today, tootling around the flower pots and then jumping up on the table to have a good look through the kitchen window, it was a rather lovely moment.

The daytime temperature is still relatively warm.  You can easily wander around without the need for a coat.  The early hours must still bear chills though as ice is still forming on the water receptacles.

The first caterpillar of the year was found today as we dismantled the rabbit hutch to build a new.

It was another warm and sunny day here, we are having a lovely spell of dry weather.

A beautiful slow start to the day as we sat outside with our first coffee.  Such a treat and I am very much hoping that this is a hint of what is to come in plenty throughout the warmer months of 2025.

The birds busied themselves with breakfast on the feeder, and didn’t seem to notice that we were sat relatively close.  Right now, the fat balls seem to be the favourite, although the sunflower hearts aren’t that far behind.
